The project:
A major urban development project comprising of new homes, commercial properties, public spaces and smart urban mobility. Mace have the opportunity to develop and lead and implement the PMO structure to deliver this city development.
Collaborates and supports team and scope of services as described in the subcontract appointment documentation. Liaises with and takes direction from the principal contractor and/or clients representative. Accountable for budget and costs in line with subcontract order.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinates the health safety, wellbeing and environmental requirements of logistics package in line with principal contractors and client expectations, accountable for project costs and budgets.
- Assists innovating delivery service, ensuring quality service provided and undertakes and monitors service quality, developing alternative methods of undertaking contractual scope of works.
- Plans and monitors programme and activities of Mace logistics suppliers, reviews changes to scope, monitors and assesses needs making benefit recommendations, liaising with commercial manager and suppliers.
- Manages and submits weekly progress summary of key activities, with a 6-week look ahead/ plan complete. Collates and prepares workforce time sheets.
- Raises request for information (RFI) and early warning notices (EWNs) or work request sheets (WRS) as necessary and liaises with commercial manager.
- Attends programme meetings, managing changes to scope or programme, liaising with principal and principal contractors site management team.Provides monthly progress reports and monthly delivery performance reports, reporting any red-flags and outstanding EWNs or RFIs.
- Liaises and builds working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to establish needs and checking in scope and in line with change request process.
- Manages workforce levels and site operations, ensuring competence and monitoring for a healthy and safe working environment, manages requirements are met and documented, liaising with HSW manager.
- Responsible for logistic team daily briefings and material delivery schedule, ensures teams are briefed and conversant of daily activities, updating construction tier 1 supplier teams regarding daily and weekly activities, ensuring conversant with delivery system and bookings.
- Monitors and reports waste trends, traffic flows and delivery quantities, reviewing to improve productivity, coordinates site cleaning operation, manages waste suppliers and schedules.
- Completes asset registers plant and equipment and weekly hired equipment, recording losses or damages incurred, reporting to Logistics administrator and commercial manager.
- Liaises with contracts manager regarding team performance and resource management.
- Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
You’ll need to have:
- Relevant degree qualification.
- Proven experience working on city development, programme, projects.
- Knowledge transfer and mentoring experience.

- Experience in the successful delivery phase of relevant projects and programmes.
